I bloody love this competition, days like this are what makes it for clubs like us.  Can't wait to get to the ground.

If the Wigan players turn up with the right attitude we could be a couple of goals down early and the day becomes a huge anti climax, this is a strong possibility.

Alternatively they are relatively speaking, "there for the taking", and we won't get a better chance to beat a premiership side. A full house could inspire a memorable victory.  Therefore I'm a believer today and boldly going for a 2-0 win (Ritchie & Connell

This, really looking forward to this and i feel it is earmarked for a draw.

UP THE TOWN!

Last game for me before I return to uni.

Providing we give a good account of ourselves and don't bow down to them I'll be happy. I don't like bottlers.

Can see us playing well, not taking our chances and lose 2/3-1

A gutsy 1-3 loss, the scoreline flattering Wigan with 2 late goals.

It'll be a tough game for us, they're PL but I do think we'll give them a good game, our confidence is high. Should be a decent game as Wigan like to get the ball down and play aswell. We'll score today I reckon.

I'm going with a 1-0 win, with an uncharateristic early first half goal (Flint) that we then sit back and defend for the rest of the match!

I dreamt that we went 1-0 up then ended up losing 9-1.

Logic says we will lose, but Football doesn't always worj that way so have a sneaky feeling we will have a chance.

The key for me is a fast start. Wigan are struggling at the moment, and we need to get at them before they settle into the game.

If we can score first, I have a feeling we might be able to win.

If Wigan score first I'm not sure there will be anyway back.

We just can't afford a first half performance like the last three games, as I fear we may be a goal or two behind.

For a prediction, head says we will lose by the odd goal, heart says the opposite.

Just getting ready to leave now.

Mark lawrenson went for 1-1 and mickey thomas went for 2-1. I'm going to be a pessimist and say 0-2.

There is definitely a sense of confidence about this gamne amongst town fans, and if Wigan do choose to play a youthful line up, lets face it their academy and reserve teams arent jam full of great talent, we will have a great chance. The young ones that may cause a stir will be Callum McManaman, but that is about it. An upset could well be on the cards.

I see Gary caldwell is back from suspension. If ever a defender had a 'Steve vickers' esque performance it's him! Let's hope he has one today!
