Because of Paolo's passion, not winning against Oxford and Rovers would of really got to him. He knows how much it means to the fans but at least we get another chance at both of them.

If he was that angry with the players I can only imagine what he's done to Bogus Dave

Don't think PDC would have been very happy with the low expectations on here that meant BDs was only due to be shot had we lost

Totally agree.

Me too. Would have been nice for them to have chosen to spin it in such a way as to highlight how this shows the passion he has to win every game and the extremely high expectations he has of himself and his players, but I guess it sells more papers to present it the way they have.

So, PDC basically brings in a new squad over the summer, is charged with motivating them and they aren't good enough?

He's a one-trick pony (or chihuahua) when it comes to player motivation.
o
Sounds like he's already bored and is trying to engineer a move to a bigger club.

PDC is ace.

Dread to think what it was like in the dressing room as I imagine he turned it down a notch for the radio.

In honesty I think most fans would have been happy with a point away to a fired up Rovers team, I was...no surpise from Di Canio but these are his players not thrust on him by a previous incumbant. Dont understand him really.....recent match against Bradford we played far worse than on Saturday yet his reaction was nowhere like this...I nearly walked out it was so poor.....love the bloke but cant see him being with us for long. Really good managers always protect their players when things dont go according to plan they dont publically berate them...the reality is we haven`t lost for 14 games, so why throw the toys out of the pram. Come on Di Canio, sort yourself out.....now. I wonder how he would have reacted if he had played for a manager with his style of management.... Hmmm

the best managers usually defend their players in public, not always; how about when mourinho (at chelsea) was asked why he made three half-time substitutions, he said that he'd have made 11 subs if he could. or ferguson slating evra after the city game. redknapp was very critical of darren bent at times, and defoe. at least pdc didn't name names (although it's obvious it was the three wingers and magera's petulant first half reaction that caused him the most grief)

I'm sure at some point he's seen Capello, Trappatoni and Lippi flip out.
