That's bad even by Croydon standards...
Whilst that kind of xenophobic bile is wrong, it is perhaps understandable that people will harbour resentment in such a charged, ethnically diverse atmosphere. With the recent riots (which a lot of people will blame on race) there's even more resentment in the air.
When I was at school in Croydon I couldn't sit on the top deck of the bus due to the colour of my skin...
