Almost the most poetic result in football history.

I was telling my lad about these results the other day but he just laughs and says I'm making it up. He laughs even more when I tell him results like Swindon 8 Bury 0 ! He did come to forest away though 7-1 not so funny.

We were so bad it was funny. Real gallows humour and singing.

And he did see Trevor Benjamin score which is rare if not funny. He was offside mind.

Only a select few have witnessed such a thing. You should feel privileged.

My lad still talks about now, he really enjoyed the day which is odd. Isn't that when iffy had that shiny suit on? We stayed with family all weekend and to be fair it was such a hammering they hardly mentioned it. We were sat on right on the edge of the Forest fans and they were trying to hand me tissues. They weren't laughing at our place though think they scored all the goals but still lost !

Best away day ever.

One of them. Doesn't beat Leeds for me.

Can't think of a better loss away through. Unless you count Charlton in the playoff semi after extra time.

I have to agree with the Leeds away.

Drinking in the Peacock after the match (as well as before) was great and strutting round Leeds centre all evening also helped.  Pint Pint Pint Pint

I though drinking in the peacock is a bit like away fans drinking in the county hotel ? When you listen to Leeds fans they make it out to be their fortress.

Both excellent points. I was at both of them as well! Ah good times.

Coming out of the City Ground singing always look on the bright side of life was ace. Especially to the amusement of the Forest fans.

When we scored near the end weren't we singing " Easy, Easy "  even my Forest supporting cousins who sat above us said the Town fans were brilliant that day.
