It shouldnt be forgotten Fitton got the clubs finances in order, restored its credibility and took us within a game of the Championship. We were so close to fulfilling his goal.

Last season was a difficult one. Must of hurt his pride.

In any case how is the club structured? I assume there are separate boards for the club and the holding company? Even if they are (were) comprised of the same people?

I've got a lot of time for Fitton. Will always be grateful for him being a part of a consortium that saved this club, this should never be forgotten.

Incidently under him we had our best season in a decade but also our worst.

Anyone who takes an interest in how the club is run off the field of play will certainly not forget what AF did for the club.  It's a shame that his tenure did not bring tangible success on the pitch - but he can leave with his head held high.

Agree Ardiles. However, we were up there in 09/10 with the Likes of Norwich, Leeds, Millwall, Huddersfield, Charlton Southampton. Did the double over Leeds and Southampton. We were in the top 2 in April and went into the last day of the season with a chance of automatic promotion. All in what was the strongest League 1 in years. Last season, we we're abysmal and Fitton should take part of the blame for that.

Unfortunately it isn't up to date as he is still showing as director of the club

Does seem pretty good though. My company pays for a similar license.

Incidentally the termination of directorship document is now available on my system and his appointment was terminated on 24 August 2011.

See the Adver hacks caught up with this approx a week after the TEF     Seems they've stopped getting their news off here.
