Interesting, I watched the first episode because I liked the set up and thought it was properly rubbish. Taking an interesting concept and adding a really rushed family subplot to the main character and making her unnecessarily inexperienced-and-yet-able-to-sort-everything. Does it get better or have I just watched it in a bad mood?

The latter for me. Altough I agree about the family subplot, wasn't sure that was totally necessary. I did think episodes 2 and 3 were good personally. Worth a go I reckon.

We've also been watching The Wire again. Binged series 1 and 2 recently and I still think it holds up as fantastic TV after all these years.

Did you watch "We own this city" by the same writers? as The Wire.  I thought it was very good, well worth a watch - very Wirey..

It's on the list Berni, I noticed it advertised and will probably revert to it once we've finished watching The Wire. Glad to hear positive reviews. Smiley

My sister used to be the lead actress (saraa) nanny.

I would have sent love to her had I known.  It was my one and only foray into TV production.  Not the most exciting world.

Bodies is on Netflix

From mid 2000s it's easily my favourite medical drama and one of my favourite series of all time.

Not sure it's realistic mind, but it's a drama not a documentary!

I’ve just watched Night Sky on Amazon - loved it. Not Uk everyone’s street as it’s mystery laden sci-fi, but thought it was great.

Is Ozark worth sticking with? I have nearly finished season 2 and it just lurches from one extreme situation to the next, it’s almost a bit to unbelievable all that could happen to Marty. I believe with longer serials you need a lull in the narrative so the tension can build again. Im not saying it’s bad btw just not convinced.
