Think the problem with a lot of sitcoms is that they age really badly. Only Fools & Horses seems shit when I watch it now.
Where when I go back and watch any episode of Only Fools and Horses there will be at least 2 proper laugh out loud moments for me....

Not Going Out is the funniest British sitcom ever. Fact.
I really like this, but i wasn't taken with the first episode of episode 6 last week, i thought it missed Tim Vine a lot, shame he's left. Hopefully episode 2 will seem better to me tonight.

Was that the one with the rabbit? I know the plot is usually quite stupid, but that was a bit too far stupid.

Totally serious. Fact.
That Drugs episode has my favourite lines;
Lee : I can be civilised. I'll have an evening of blues and jazz. Dig out the old seven inches. Lucy : By "blues and jazz" I'm guessing you mean blue movies and jazz magazines? Lee : Yeah. And "by dig out the old..."

People like you don't deserve freedom of speech when you say such silly things.

Stewart Lee does a good piece on Only Fools, well worth a watch on YouTube.

British sitcoms don't get any better than Spaced in my eyes.
I haven't seen Not Going Out but Lee Mack irritated the shit out of me whenever I saw him on panel shows and as a result I think I sort of lumped him in with Miranda Hart and her ilk

The gun fight is, and always will be (probably), my favourite scene from any TV show ever.

I know where you've coming from but this still raises a smile for me, and that's better than half the shit on tv
Plus Sally Bretton is occasionally worth watching it for.

Only fools, the royle family, the office. Top three in order, nothing else comes close.
Not going out is just about watchable if nothing else is on.

the royle family
Early Doors, which is essentially the Royle Family on a different set, is always towards the top of my list

Spaced, The League of Gentlemen, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld and Extras must all be up there too.
