Leaving aside the fact that it would be a local gig, if they are wholly up a creek without a paddle, it could be almost the ultimate 'project'.  If you could restore the club to its former 'glory' it would probably be regarded as a better yardstick of managerial ability than doing quite well at a club that has bounced between the bottom 2 divisions for getting on 20 years.

With all the managerial nous in the world, you still need a few ha'pennys to rub together. Especially in football. Bolton don't have one. Wellens regarded how difficult it was at Oldham due to the behind the scenes problems there and that his hands were incredibly tied. Why would he even consider going back to a similar environment?

One place I could see him getting a call from one day, if his progress continues and the timing is right. Preston.

Gary Bowyer favourite for the job at 7/2 according to Sky Bet. (Their fans must be excited).

RW mid table at 20's.

Hes doing a sterling job there so far having lost half his 6 matches in charge and only won 2 of them. Win rate of 33%.

You could be right there, they seem a well run club who could possibly reach the Prem. But that's longer term anyway, they seem happy with their manager

I am surprised Woody lasted that long, not known for his footballing brain, or for that matter his brain!

Warnock in to firefight until the end of the season I guess.

Middlesborough have been attrocious a lot of the season and in real danger of relegation to face us next season.

I didn't realise they were only out the relegation zone on GD.

They've been unbeaten for 3 months Smiley

Lucky that they have Hull to fill the last relegation spot, they’ve become an clusterfuck of a club.

I can see why Boro  have made that decision, Warnock will scare the shit out of the players.

Hull look like they're gonna take that last relegation spot though. Horrendous form!

There's life, and form, in Barnsley and Luton yet. Plenty of room for Middlesbrough and Hull to implode and get relegated.
