Sriving down from Manchester with my Dad and brother this afternoon for a brief overnighter at some relatives in Bristol and then up early for the game tomorrow. It'll be my 1st derby at the age of 26 and I've managed to persuade the old man to go back to his youth and get tickets in the Town End, just want to get today out of the way now!

Anyone know if the Oxford fans are having the Stratton Bank or are they up in the corner of the Arkells? Just watching some of the old videos from youtube and the ground looks so much better with both stands behind the goals full.

They've got both the arkells bit and stratton bank.

Makes sense, last time I was at the CG it was for the last game of the season v Walsall when we both got promoted, cracking day and great to see the ground full. Hoping for similar tomorrow (although not quite as mutually benfeficial and without the good natured pitch invasion at the end)

Don't forget, if you pull a Poxford lass to wear a condom on your fingers.

leprosy started back in the 1200's when an errant visitor to the new University fingered a Poxford girl without protection.

just say no!

Two Town v Scum preview articles on The Washbag:

The birth of a rivalry - http://thewashbag.com/2011/08/19/swindon-oxford-the-birth-of-a-rivalry/

Rivalries, we've had a few. But then again, just one to mention - http://thewashbag.com/2011/08/20/swindon-v-oxford-rivalries-we%e2%80%99ve-had-a-few-but-then-again-just-one-to-mention/

Wish I could take on few beers before the match, but I've got to drive back afterwards. Shit times!!

That is cringeworthy posting from that Town fan though. Makes us look silly.

Err, did you read the thread? Pretty much every reply says that our playoff win to get back in the league was undoubtedly more important than Sunday.

So yeah, it does show how important you are to us - rivals, but not the end of the world, as some here would have you believe. Thanks for the fine example of perspective.
