No, purely for schadenfreude.

Well coming from Swindon you have to find your pleasure somehow.

Yeah I'm wrong just like the football league (who recognise our ground) is or your version of a ground is a bit stupid mmm let me think  Hmmm!

The Football League treat clubs like teachers treat the simple kids at school.  You should know.  They like to get you involved and will tell you anything to raise your morale.  This is why they recognise your ground as a ground.  Behind you back they piss themselves laughing at it.  But as long as your happy that's all that matters!

That is quite possibly the worst analogy I have ever heard , no need for me to say anymore!

To Slinky, yes. By the way I think Leon Clark will be a good signing for you, him and the Dutch lad are the two signings you have made that made me sit up a bit.

re - the arguments about a ground.
I would certainly think that the Kassam is a "ground" - there are "grounds" in the local County League - as long as they have barriers all around, a bit of room for spectators a couple of dugouts and maybe one or two other criteria.

Whether it is a proper stadium is another argument.  I'm sure the OU fans will claim it is as it's in the name! However, it's arguably an unfinished stadium as one end is empty - maybe they'll get there one day.

The Kassam is an incomplete stadium.

I think I'm going to sign off now until after the game.  Obviously this forum has got nothing on the bile-fest that is yellows.com (?), but it is (inevitably) getting a bit tedious.  All I need to know now is whether Clarke gets registered in time to make the squad.

Good luck, everyone!

Sriving down from Manchester with my Dad and brother this afternoon for a brief overnighter at some relatives in Bristol and then up early for the game tomorrow. It'll be my 1st derby at the age of 26 and I've managed to persuade the old man to go back to his youth and get tickets in the Town End, just want to get today out of the way now!

Anyone know if the Oxford fans are having the Stratton Bank or are they up in the corner of the Arkells? Just watching some of the old videos from youtube and the ground looks so much better with both stands behind the goals full.
