Would have been nice for him to say goodbye if that were true. I quite liked his posts

To be honest, I don't people have any right to moan about account deletion unless they've tried it themselves.

If you're in a bit of a huff then it's really fucking satisfying. I recommend it.

I've done it in a girly hissy fit moment. There is a certain amount of satisfaction though.

Is it me or has deleting of accounts accelerated since the 'ignore' button was introduced?

Some time back when you tried to delete your account it required mod approval and perhaps a pm or 2. I think it was around the time the ignore button was introduced we felt that people have fuck all to justify if they want to delete their account, if they want gone let them do it themselves. Once a few discovered they could do it, I think it probably snowballed from there.

personally i think it's quite pathetic if you let an internet forum get to you.

but thats just me. if you don't want to post anymore then just don't login. it's very simple logic

I used to regularly come close, then I'd just change peoples titles or something to calm me down.

What a shame.  I really liked Arriba, always to the point.  Surprised as well, because I seem to remember him having quite strong views when people started deleting their accounts.  I hope he's okay?  Sad

Indeed, deleting your account is somewhat childish.

I prefer to leave  a forum by getting banned.

I disagreed with arriba loads of times, but always thought he was one of the better posters on here.

Never come close to deleting my account, when I get a bit fucked off on here, I just don't come on for a while. Each to their own though.

So what happens when you delete your account? Does it delete all your posts as well?

Posts remain. Postcount, avatar, online status, etc.  disappear.
