Hope it's Di Canio, I can see next year being the most exciting for years ( bar maybe last year) in the last 20.

[mischievous] Also, its depressing knowing that whoever we appoint, Di Canio/Hammann etc, we'll probably be looking for another manager this time next year. Either because the appointed manager is total shite and has been sacked, or they've been amazing and get poached by a better/bigger club...

Oh, and when I say a better/bigger club, I mean sadly it'll be some wanking, shitty, middle of the road team like Middlesbrough or Crystal Palace.

Positive thinking and all that. Cheesy Cheesy  [/mischievous]

Ah that would happen regardless.

All I ask is one whole season (if they're doing well).

I see Di Canio has a UEFA Pro coaching license, probably means as much as a GCSE in Home Economics. But it must mean he has at least got a bit of flair for this coaching lark, hopefully he takes to management like a duck to water.

Hmm. I agree with Sonic on this one I think. Would rather have seen the other two but I hope he does well as I hope they all do well.

And if he doesnt, I'm sure the resulting meltdown will be hilarious.... all headbutts, ref shoves, 'roman' salutes and tears.

All I want is at least one stereotypical 'mamma mia!' mentioned in a press conference. I similiarly wanted Macari to utter a 'Hoots Man!' at least once.... but he never did... I cry nightly about it, I mop my tears with an old Tam O' Shanter (complete with comedy ginger wig).

Well embraced Arriba. Its going to be interesting. Interesting good or bad I do not know.

Its good he sees us as a club he can start his career with though. Must think he can do well here, he wouldn't want to kill his managerial career before it begun.

I think Di Canio's passion, enthusiasm and drama will give the whole Town a lift, not just STFC.

We need the excitement, and now we are going to get it.

I don't think his politics will change my support for Town.

I just hope nobody on here starts gloating about the fact some people will be turned off from supporting Swindon by his appointment.

That's my main worry. I've tried to stay out of the politics side, because for one I know nothing about it and two choose to make my own mind up about someone.

It's why in some ways, as much as I want PDC, I also want us all pulling in the same direction and it worries me that if under him there's a fair portion of contempt directed at him from the off, it could be divisive.

I hope those who didn't want PDC, give the bloke a chance on the off-chance he's a good manager, a good bloke and there's more than a smattering of typical journalism sprinkled into his character. Who knows though, it might be Tisdale announced tomorrow for all we know?!
