I know it's hard Juddie and i think this is where things like Twitter don't help. Rose on Twitter said the 3 are Hamaan,Di Canio,Burley.I asked what about Buckle and he said no he is not in the 3.

24 Hours later there is a small piece saying the adver understands that Hamaan has not been approached?

Someone else said elsewhere that maybe they should just report the truth. They don't know what's going on. I know they can't win but at least it's the truth.

They could do a piece on how well the board have kept it quiet so well. Could make for an entertaining read if they went about it the right way.

We can't handle the truth!

Rose is a bellend. The players will probably be the last to know!

The fact is the only people who know are the board members and the top candidate. And even then, the candidate might not know yet... or if they do, they might not be allowed to give anything away.

Keiran Holden met di Canio in Dublin at the game last night, and he learned nothing!

You're right though, everyone wants to be the first person to reveal who it is, which means people make statements based on chuff all in the hope they strike gold.

Unfortunately for the Adver, they have to be seen to be on top of things, but the club are giving them nothing. Or it could be that the Adver do know, but the club haven't agreed all terms with candidate and aren't allowing them to divulge yet, though I doubt this.

In short, it's all bollox and the wait goes on. I just hope it's worth it. Would be very underwhelming if we get someone outside of the three everyone thinks it is. Again, that's the danger of Twitter!

Assume he meant Gary Rose from the Adver rather than Michael  Wink

Meant Rose from the Adver but yes he is a bellend  Wink

I think it's boredom on my part being quiet at work leading to my rants.

Take your point, to be fair the people who comment on the Adver site would moan at fucking anything though.

No different to this site or any other site to be fair, full of mongs whichever way you look at it! Doh

Seems to me the fault here is with the Adver. It's their non-stories that have set the expectation around timelines etc when they can't even make their minds up whether Hamann's a candidate/been approached/actually exists.

Oops, sorry. Posted before reading the rest of the thread properly Smiley

I think the key thing we can all agree on here though is that Juddie's policing of twitter has been superb. I look forward to more rumour-mongers taking a twicking today
