This would be superb for the fans and a real boost in season ticket sales and match day attendance but sadly, it ain't gonna happen.

Although I live in hope.

Although it might be a better idea to pray to Eileen Drury

This reminds me of when a load of bets were put on John Ward a while back. After we'd sacked Malpas I think? As we all know now it meant absolutely fuck all.

Get a grip...yeah we have moved on to lge2....best manager(on field )England had for years.

How has it moved on,the man was light years ahead as a player and coach, would be up there Monday renewing if he was to get the job along with many more.
The chances are it isn't going to happen so you will be happy but would suggest you are in the minority.

I'm still a bit bitter about Hoddle ditching us but would have him back. Wise can fuck off though, can't understand why anyone would have him back.

That just sounds like some meaningless cliche.

Moved on how exactly? And how would it mean he isn't up to the job? The man has had great success and did a pretty bloody good job at international level. A huge name, a silly amount of contacts and instant respect from fans and players alike.

But we don't want him. Yeah, right!

I think its the appeal of having someone who may kick a few arses in the dressing room, for me, no thanks.

I would love to have Hoddle back here, but it's highly unlikely.

He ended up going backwards at wolves in his last job. Would his heart be fully in it? Who knows.

It won't happen anyway. We got sheena fucking easton listed on the bookies last time round, they mean fuck all

Hoddle's passion now seems to be developing young English players who have been rejected in their teens (before theyve had a real chance). I agree 100% with the way he views English player development, its crap, it places too much emphasis on teenagers, and not enough on players in their early 20s who are physically ready. He could do that sort of job for us, as a technical director, signing and coaching players, with someone like Trollope or Ling as manager.

Weve got to watch Hoddle a bit though. He is financially involved in his Spanish academy, and there could be a conflict of interest if he started signing up half of his academy. I do think he is a bit greedy at times, and he would put himself a long way before the club.

But overrall any Hoddle involvement would raise the profile of the club massively.
