Dunno. Probably because the commentators don't mention it, instead concentrating on him winning stuff for his dead dad. He's also been one of the most consistent snooker players over the last decade and a half. So he's going to have picked up some fans. Judd has been brilliant this tournament though, so exciting to watch. I can't help but want him to win.

I think it's because generally it is understandable that when faced with, what you believe at the time, to be the Russian Mafia you agree to do whatever the say. IIRC he was suspened for agreeing to throw frames rather than having been caught actually doing it. 16-14, pretty much a must win frame for Trump now.
