A lot of rumours doing the rounds about Glenda becoming our next manager, after his appearance at the game Saturday.

While it's a possibility (However slight) I'm surprised no one has thought about the more likely scenario.....

Hoddle's academy in Spain is looking for a new club to tie in with, apparently the spainish club they previously used owes them shitloads and are refusing to stump up. Hoddle has already said they are looking for a lower-league club away from Spain to co-operate with......

Seems more realistic that we'd set up a partnership with them. Although having him back as manager would certainly put bums on seats for next season.

I'd have the chances of Hoddle as next manager somewhere between zip and zilch.

He could still do a job for us in the 4 shirt!

Best player I've ever seen wearing the red & white...bar none.

Quite why he would need/want to is beyond me. He was laughing most of the way through the first half, presumably at how shite we were.

He was there because the club have been looking to link with the academy, and with Gorman being there it was a case of two birds/one stone.

Anyone who thinks Hoddle would consider managing us in League Two needs to be sectioned.

That said, even if he'd popped by the dressing room at half time and had a word we would have done better.

He should have popped in at half time and laughed at them.

They think they are too worthy, yet even greats like Hoddle have worn the shirt.

Considering the state we are in.Fitton taking a punt on hoddle would tick alot of boxes.
Might have a big X in his wages department though.
If the big money was offered i think he'd come back

Is the managers salary included when the salary cap is counted?

Hoddle definetly won't be manager next season.  He was there to talk to Andrew Fitton about establishing a link to feed players from his Academy to Swindon for next season.

I'm pretty sure either McParland or Trollope will be manager next season with Hart moving into an upstairs role.

the only thought I had when hoddle was mentioned was he was either on academy business or simply just catching up.

ill reserve judgement on any academy link until we see the standard of player and their physical ability to cope.  hope its not our main recruitment policy.

he won't be next manager!

Basically the purpose of Hoddles academy is to pick up boys that have not been offered pro contracts at the end of their scholarships and basically give them a second chance of making it, so the standard of player would still be quite good and the hunger and desire to return to the game full time I think would be that much more. Forget Hoddle coimng back as manager, its never going to happen

Is the academy Hoddle's privately owned business, or is he just running it?
