Have you tried the memory in a different machine, I have had shed loads of compatibility problems between machines with different types of memory sticks working in some and not others, might be worth RMA ing them and replacing them with a different make mate.

The 1gb stick of Samsung in the Tosh was fine, now stuck that in someone else's. I will order 4gb from Crucial sometime this week JJ, and see if I get a reply from Samsung

after succsesfully replacing the screen on my samsung r60 plus laptop my daughter has decided to snap the dc jack connector, have found one on ebay £1.99, has online instructions on how to replace it, only problem is, it has to be soldered onto the board, have never soldered before, is this easy Hmmm

Depends on how it is soldered to the board. My advice, find someone who has soldered before.

If you know how to solder its a 2 minute job, if you dont know how to solder then get someone else to do it.
