I think people give League 2 too much respect. With this current team in that league, we would walk it. I'm sorry but League 2 is piss poor.

I think you are forgetting something there....

I've heard rumours that Paul Hart is going to take it on as an extra job in an attempt to be the only manager who's ever simultaneously relegated two teams.

would we fuck.league 1 is piss poor too.
look at teams who have great seasons in div 4, then come up and keep the momentum going in div 3.likewise teams who slide down the leagues.
there aint much in it.

I'll give you that the league this year was not as strong as last years but League 2 is much weaker.

When we got relegated from this league in 2006 it was a much weaker league than this years one.

disagree.its all much as it was imo.
teams seem more evenly matched, rather than leagues being poorer.

The season we got relegated Southend were champions with 82 points, the same amount we got last season and they went straight back down with virtually the same team from the Championship that year. In League 2 we finished 3rd, we were up there all season, not playing well and winning 1-0, 2-1 etc. With this team in League 2 next season we would be strong, no doubt about it.

I take your point though, the division in 2006 was much more even but doesn't that make it a poorer league because there were no real good teams??

My two penneth - if we kept the exact same team next year, we'd get kicked all over the place and finish somewhere midtable. We don't have the fight for a relegation battle, so i sure as hell don't think we have the fight to win League 2 battles every week.
