Another nail in the coffin for Football as a mans game (get up & get on with it you big girls blouse)

That said it wasn't a good tackle from Carragher, and wouldn't have looked out of place in the Leeds/Chelsea FA Cup final.

The shin pads would have protected him from the gash in his leg but even with shin pads he could have had his leg snapped in half. Bad tackle.

i think utd will win it due to a bigger squad of quality, but it's by no means going to be won at a canter.

Or a Canterna ?

Isn't it illegal NOT to wear shin pads ? I thought it was a required piece of safety equipment in all FA controlled games as well as training sessions ?

Didn't he remove his shinpad? Might be wrong though, stupid if he didn't actually wear any.

the tackle went over his shin pad.he then removed it when he was showing the ref.

if fergie or phelan had done an interview, they obviously would have slated the ref,and rightly so.they would then be charged with something so completely understand why he or none of his staff were interviewed.

If the referee awarded a free kick in the opponents half that Fergie didnt agree with he would whinge.  And yet poor decisions in his favour are never mentioned or if they are mentioned its along the lines of, oh it evens itself out over the season.  The man is a massive hypocrite.

Mind you that can be said for most football managers.

I have a low hypocrisy tolerance.  He doesn't need to slate players, just say 'yeah perhaps the ref did get it wrong and we were lucky'.
