Deliverance (Well, the duelling banjos bit anyway)
Superman (takes me back to being a kid, that theme tune was fucking brilliant)

If we're purely doing soundtracks then surely the more recent starwars easily match the old ones. It's like most the same stuff plus...

1 OCEANS 11-great sassy original tunes by David Holmes with a bit of rat-pack,Quincy Jones and Elvis thrown in for good measure.
2 THE PROPOSITION-dark menacing stuff by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis
3 THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU-brilliant samba versions of Bowie songs,far superior to the originals,by Seu Jorge with some Stooges,Devo and Scott Walker.
