Thought we were excellent yesterday. A much more united effort from the whole squad which bodes well for Exeter away on Tuesday night, see you there if you're going. Can we string two performances together on the trot?

Anyway, for anyone that's seen colchester's winner, I think the situation demanded Douglas saving the shot with his hand instead of going for it with his head. I know he would have sent off and faced a ban... and that we'd have had to save the resulting penalty but what if he had.... you never know? Could have been a very valuable point in the long run.

Not blaming dougie at all though. these things happen so quickly and he might have genuinely thought he could stop it with his head. What do you think?

Nah, we need Dougie to play in as many games as possible. The suspension would be too costly.

i think (and don't quote me on this) that it would have been only a one match ban because it wasn't for violent conduct/dangerous tackling etc.

you're probably right though. an on song douglas would definitely help our cause

I thought all straight reds were three-match bans? And a two-yellow sending off was one match?

Could do without losing our best player even if it is for a match.

Even if he handled it, chances our they would have scored the penalty.

And even if we'd have saved the hypothetical penalty we would have still had time to concede a goal after that...

I think you're right but with it being a second red card of the season he might of had an extra game added to any hyperthetical suspension.

good point... and following a 'frivalous' appeal, the FA will slap another game on, fine STFC £25,000 and deduct us three points plunging us further into relegation dooommmm! arghhhhh!

Having just seen it, Lucas shouldn't have punched it to their strikers feet!

His punches don't go far or up enough!

He did something similar earlier in the season, can't think of who it was against but it cost us a goal.

Walsall away was the one I was thinking of. At least it didn't affect the outcome of that match.

The standard of keeping is dropping away all the time...FFS, he should have caught it! Bring back the days when a keeper came out and claimed a cross rather than flapping it away!
