There's something there with Lecs, but we can't afford to keep persisting with him, so good business IMO. Might be worth trying Flint and Framps in the middle and Cutho at right-back?

Very good technically yes, but his concentration levels and positional play are at times questionable to say the least. He was responsible for the goal against Yeovil and at least one goal against Rovers,I for one would not be sorry to see him go.
Thats why he would need an experienced defender next to him to help with positional play etc. Look at Cuthbert last season with Greer, he was unbelievable for us.

Will be sad to see him go if this has any truth in it.

Well put. I'd go more with the "pissing my self laughing and running all the way to the bank" reaction if this were to happen, which it won't.

Why?!! Amankwaah was quality on tuesday and we also have Caddis. Cuthbert isn't a rightback. Gets sucked over way too much.

In the few games he's played at CB for us he's more often than not been the best defender and regularly the motm. Plus he's the best passer, especially long balls, we've got in defence and he puts plenty of decent crosses in to the box. Makes me laugh the way some people continually highlight the odd mistake he makes as they are seemingly oblivious to the catalogue of mistakes all the other defenders make.
I'm not sure we make the most of him though. He doesn't push forward enough and might, and it's a big might, be more suited to a midfield role. If we need a holding midfielder and Douglas is out, we could do a lot worse than give him a run out there. At worst though he can provide cover at LB and CB, with money always an issue it's worth keeping him around just for that.

Why not? Caddis hasn't played too well this season IMO and Amankwaah, well we can do better than that, no? Fair enough, if he played ok in the week he deserves a run, but neither caddis or manky have been convincing for me. Just my opinion, like. Our defence has been a joke all season, so I have no qualms in seeing anyone sold as long as they're replaced. If Wilson is selling Lecs/Austin today he must have something up his sleeve. if not, hello Port Vale!

If you think Amankwaah was quality on Tuesday you need your eyes testing mate. Ok, he didn't do anything too horrendous, but 'quality'? Nope.
