is it me or is £150k a little bit steep for this guy, especially from the league he has joined from?

Apparently its a small amount up front with add ins based on appearances, something like £25k - £50k up front.

I think it's a satirical take on some of the more hysterical comments on the Austin/Morrison transfer sagas. Which appears to have completely whooooshed the next commenter

DW must have seen a lot of him, his son plays for the same club.  There are a lot of players who come the same route, didn't Peter Crouch start off as a non-league player and Peterborough have a history of buying that way.  Incidentally, Colchester - who were also after him - have two players in their first team squad from non-league sources, Reading have also bought that striker from non-league.

like someone said, if clubs have been courting him for a while he must be okay, look at chris smalling, signed by fulham from maidstone... some non-league players are ready to step up.
