No, he was (supposedly) in hospital in the Greek Cypriot part where he had conveniently been holidaying when he had his little turn. I think people just assumed it was the northern Turkish enclave as they thought he'd gone on the run to somewhere with no extradition treaty with the UK. Quite why anyone would imagine Honest Mike would need to seek such refuge is wholly beyond me.
