It's not on next year is it? I'd quite like to go at some point, because you have to really don't you.

Leaving for the famous festival later this evening wearing my wellies and armed with 50 cans of cider.

Last time I went, you could buy a 36 pint polypin of Somerset rocket fuel, off the back of a tractor for about 20p a pint.

Does this tradition no longer happen?

I'm not gutted in the slightest... i think the continuously risiing prices and constantly increased attendance has put me off. And the lineups since 2009 haven't inspired me. In fact, i think i'm coming to hate Eavis for blindly claiming each year is better than the last, when i can't agree. Unless he means profits-wise. If the attendance drops to around the 135,000 mark i might go back. If it doesn't, i think i'll spread my wings and take in a few different festivals.
I do agree it is far to bloody busy around the main stages, which prompted us to really head off the beaten track over the past couple of years and really see sights and sounds that of the sort we hadn’t seen before.  Last year though it was far too feckin hot.  Too much sun = early start to avoid suffocating in your own sweat = no recovery time.

In 2013 we are finally going to tepee it and maybe call it a day after that and start looking at alternatives.

Next year the Exit festival Belgrade is a possibility.  Anyone ever been?

I got stuck on my way back from Shepton Mallet this afternoon, again! It doesn't start until tomorrow and there's already a load of hippy fuckers with their pollution spewing vans all over the fucking place.

Shepton Mallet is an odd place.  Worth going a day early just to samples the pubs there.

Never been and don't intend to go anytime soon.  Reckon the glory days were the late 90s but I was too young to really appreciate them then.  It's a behemoth these days so prefer going to smaller festivals like Latitude, Green Man and the like.

U2 were shite... I'm not a fan, but I really thought they'd be annoyingly decent. I needn't have worried...

Watched a bit of them last night. Was very underwhelmed by what I saw of them.

Plus Bono's face makes me want to punch it. Repeatedly.
