In other news:

There's some disgraceful public brown-nosing on their official website. Yes, they're a lovely club and everybody outside of Devon loves them but I'm not letting them get away with such an F.A. love-in Cheesy

Quote
New FA Chairman, and friend of the club, David Bernstein has been in touch this week after we congratulated him on his new appointment.

Bernstein is known to the club through his role as Chairman of Ted Baker and his friendship with City boss Paul Tisdale.

And on Wednesday he was announced as the successor to Lord Triesman at the Football Associaiton and he ad this to say when our officials sent him their best wishes for his new job.

"Please pass on my best to all at the club. I am watching your progress with great interest as Exeter City is a real credit to Football."

Could have been shit after the Lord Mayor's Show.....cast your mind back to Boxing Day 79...we'd put 8 on Bury, previous home league game, 4 on Arsenal, in the week. Up pitch the Grecians for slaughter....yep we lost 3-2....shipping a late winner.

They beat Wednesday 5-1 last game...we lose at home to Crawley....was more my way of thinking.
Personally i am glad it is off.
And yes Reg i get your point...was at that match and have long said that match cost us that season.

My thoughts exactly.  They'll end up being on a Tuesday night as well and let's be honest our Tuesday night form this season has been absolutely dire!

Talking of off games D'Urso has been weaving his magic again:

Matt Wright reports

Charlton's Boxing Day clash with Southampton has been postponed.

Referee Andy D'Urso had asked for the kick-off of to be delayed until 1.15pm in order for an area of the pitch to receive further work.

However, after a further inspection at 12pm, D'Urso decreed that areas of the pitch were unsafe, forcing the game to be postponed to a new date.

D'Urso's decision was made despite the fact that both managers, Phil Parkinson and Nigel Adkins, plus the two sets of players were happy the pitch was in good enough condition for the match to go ahead.

And the decision left everyone at The Valley angry and frustrated.
