Didn't achieve anything? Paid leave over Christmas is an achievement in it's own right!

When Trollope took over with Lawrence, Rovers had been bottom half Div 4 for a few years, in fact had 2 down been in place around 03, they'd have been Conference bound. So he did achieve something....could be in the right place at the right time if we lose to Tranny Saturday.

granted he stablised them along with lenny lawrence, but as they are a club similar to us,with the same ambitions, mid table finishes each year in league 1 aint enough really.
i see no real reason at all why we'd go for him in the future.

I'm sure Tisdale's turned down bigger jobs than the Gas in the recent past?

Rovers is a sideways move for Tisdale, he won't go there, deserves a chance at a much bigger team than them.

Supposedly has repeatedly turned down Swansea. Lives near Bath still so no difference between there and Exeter. Rovers would be sideways at best.

2 mangers appointed by present Board.....one who'd just been sacked by Motherwell, and the second who'd just been sacked by Hartlepool....just think if Wilson is sacked within the next couple of weeks then Trollope would be a name in the frame.

He certainly wouldn't, but we know there are plenty of mongs in our support who already think Wilson is past his sell by date.

Just noticed that Panto...the clown who failed to get the Scum promoted from the Dog and Duck League....has been put on caretaking duties.  One of the 4 drop spots should be quickly sorted then.  Smiley

You having a laugh?...Rovers are massive compared to Exeter....probably pay double the wages to management and staff.....does that make them a better club.....thats open to opinion but without doubt its a step up in the management ladder.

Disagree. In Tisdale's case he's got a really secure job. I'm sure he'd much rather continue the good work he's done at Exeter and then look at joining a Championship club within the next few years than jump ship to a struggling Rovers side that he has little time to consider and make transfers with the window coming up. He could well find himself in L2 again next season if that were the case. Exeter on the other hand will stay up comfortably i'd have thought.

Interesting to see who they go for, I think they need a 'name' as they are losing bums on seats as well so I expect they want to attract back the stay aways nad get back to winning ways

I wonder what Steve McMahon is up to these days.....

Dont disagree with that...but Bristol Rovers will always be a step up the managers ladder...if you are manager of Exeter.

Tilson number two at Exeter wil get the nod.....so say my sauces

That is one pretty shit list. To be honest I'd be happy with any of them being appointed the shirt batterers manager.
