Barcelona tore Real's defence to shreds last night right enough, but my appreciation of their excellent football was continually spoiled by the ridiculously over the top and biased commentary. Was there really any need to bring Franco into it? It's just a fucking football match.

As much as I like Barcelona's football, I hate their propaganda machine just the same.

Fully agree with that. Every time Barca are playing, the commentators are seemingly biased towards Barca and their 'wonderful football'. That's why was glad Inter beat them in last seasons semi-final (don't forget the playacting !!!).

Just maybe they mentioned their "wonderful football", because it was fucking wonderful.

Every so often something comes along which restores faith in the beautiful game....and there it was last night a thing of beauty.... a work of art

It's not the 'wonderful football' that winds me up, although it gets a bit silly when you describe a misplaced pass as such, it's all this 'more than a club' bollocks.

The bollocks is part of the modern game....I can largely ignore it and focus in on the football.
