Those Alien Probes looking for their hump back whales can be pretty pestering. Have you not seen Start Trek IV? The thing nearly annihilates 23rd century Earth. The current board didn't have a chance to say no.

I think Sturrock is going back in time to manage Plymouth from October 2000. So he hasn't actually managed them yet. Well to him, obviously for the rest of us non-time travelling folk it's already happened.
