Im still praying he goes to city

I hope he does but Utd are too far up their own arses to sell him to the blue side even if it would mean more money they still wouldn't.

Even though this story mentions Charlie, I think the last line sums up Rooney and co.:

The Football League have a campaign running called Football To Be Proud Of.

This is encapsulated by Swindon's highly-rated striker Charlie Austin, who mucks in at the League One club to the extent he did a stint answering the phones in the office because administrative staff were busy.

Imagine a Premier League diva doing that.

Will have to post that on the Poole site

Charlie's? That's a bit much, all he did was answer a phone. Bloody union demarcation disputes

You have to remember it is the Glazers running the show and they have a debt to service, so if Man City was the best offer I would imagine they would accept it, I would not have thought they are bothered about it being the local rivals.

Ha, just posted on our work classifieds:

Wayne Rooney - Signed Picture (For Sale)

Framed with certificate of Authentication.
Although picture is of him in his Man U kit - could easily be covered over with cut out of Chelsea or Man City strip.

Angry Man U fan

My wife paid £200 for this a few years back - serious offers only.

Although I don't condone the actions of the player, agent or football club, its quite nice to see one of the big teams get screwed over in the same way as the they screw the little clubs.

Also nice to see fans of the big clubs get pissed off that their players want to leave. Although, once again, I don't condone the idiots in balaclavas rioting by his house.

Saturday 16/10/10 - ROONEYYYYYY - ROONEYYYYYY - ROONEYYYYYYY

Sunday 17/10/10 - Rooney won't go to CITEH he loves Man U

Monday 18/10/10 - Rooney just needs to hit form and he will be the best int he world again

Tuesday 19/10/10 - He's s..t anyway, the scouse c..t

Wednesday 20/10/10 - He's doing it for the money, not ambition, scouse c..t

Thursday - Ronaldo was better anyway, better players have left UNITED than Rooney

Friday - Spent the night outside his house protesting last night

Saturday  - ROONEYYYY ROONEYYY ROONEYYYY - HE IS EASILY ONE OF THE TOP 3 PLAYERS IN THE WORLD AND WAS NEVER GOING TO GO TO CITEH AND THIS WAS JUST AN CONFUSING TIME IN HIS LIFE, I FORGIVE HIM AND WILL GO AND BUY A REPLICA JERESEY IN RESPECT OF HIS DECISION TO STAY AT THE WORLDS BIGGEST CLUB.

It will be very interesting to see how much Man United have contracted to pay him.  Just where do you pitch the remuneration of a player whose form has been in question for the best part of 12 months and has been openly critical of his manager, his team mates and the club's owners?

I think it's highly unlikely that Ferguson himself will be there in 2015, so I'm wondering whether he's had his arm twisted by the owners or the board.
