Impeccable work Bart.

Apart from the bit about rovers being a cricket score he's right. Fitton and wilson have been shooting their mouths off about signing players and improving on last season and, albeit we're only in october, they so far haven't delivered.

After 14 games, didn't we have 19 points last season?  I'd say, provided we deliver in the next couple, there is every chance we can at least match that.

Our top scorer has been missing the past couple of games and this time last year we were still searching around for the right players to come in.

I think we are little more open this season, so look less sure of ourselves under pressure, but a but more attack minded than the same point last year.  The trick will be to get the defence consistent while keeping the approach we managed Jan to April last year to attack.  If we can get the right player or two in, get Austin back, I see no reason for the season to pan out in a similar way to the last.  Top 6 would be fine by me.

12 months ago we had 18 points. I know last season proved things can change, but it's an awful lot of faith to expect things to pan out the same way again.

Whereas it's an awful lack of faith to claim we are doomed already!

Anyway, I disagree with the faith remark. A couple of results and we are right back up there again.

I'm not saying we're doomed, far from it. But our last three games are stereotypical of a mid-table side. I'm not saying we won't improve (there's a long way to go yet), but i'm afraid i don't share the same optimism as others

The league is a lot less consistent this season. We're only a few points off the play offs despite some bad results. That's the positive we need to take.

We had 18 points, and lost the next 2 games.

Fuck that, I'm not going on faith. I want hard scientific proof, with diagrams and evidence and stuff.

I thought Haynes was a regular at City, he'd give us something different and inject some much needed pace into the side. Would be a good signing but likely to be lots of interest in him.

It's frustrating we're still looking for replacements, but I suppose it's better to wait for the right player than sign the first option that comes available. Hopefully be some activity sooner rather than later.
