All this hero worshiping is fine (I understand it is partly tongue in cheek) and fair play to big Sean, he does deserve it. It serves to illustrate perfectly though, how polarized fans' views are (and it's all fans not just Town fans) They live in a black and white world with no middle ground. A few weeks ago it was being debated whether he was good enough to even be stepping on to the pitch. Now he is being lauded as some God-like figure. The fact of the matter is, he was a damned good player a few weeks ago and he still is now...NOTHING HAS CHANGED!!

I suppose the moral of the story is, 'you are never as bad as people say you are, or as good as people say you are'.
And if you're reading this Sean, congratulations son, keep it up and all the best 'cos you need it. If you have a couple of bad games (or less) you'll be getting slated again.

P.S. I almost forgot..if/when you move to another club who 'make you an offer you can't refuse', you will be a cunt. Wink

Yes it has, he was playing well in one or two games last season then plying not so well, but the consistency has been there in the last 4 or 5 this season.

indeed. Kipling summer it up when he said "...If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same; ...."

He also made exceedingly good cakes.

You missed the number off.

OST's basic point is bang on. Yet another reason why players should never read fans' forums - most of us don't have a damn clue what we're on about (even those of us who think we do), and virtually everyone feels full license to post shit they wouldn't dream of saying to a player's face, hence the wildly exaggerated mood swings, like a bipolar on the blob. Don't bother lads, you'll learn nothing to your advantage here.

PS I still like Greer, so nyeerrrr, Dave.

No, a new contract would make sense
and OST

Indeed it would, but we'll get some kind of compensation if he decides to go out of contract and don't sell in Jan.

Will Evans is a centre half I believe....perhaps he's next in line.

I think Wilson and Fitton saw enough potential in Morrison that would have contributed to the decision to let Greer go. Wilson made comments at the start of the season it was time for Morrison to step up and push the first team as he liked what he seen in pre-season. They have rated Morrison for a long time and he just needed games which his Southend loan would have assisted.

Greer when he found out that a 3 year contract was on offer at Brighton was looking for the same and Fitton said he wouldn't discuss contracts until at least October. Fitton has made clear his preference for investing in young players and that a 3 year contract for a 29/30 year old central defender who was starting to show a few signs of wear wasn't in the clubs best interest.

We could have given Greer that 3 year contract and Morrison might have been pushing him within weeks and you would have had Greer stuck on a long term contract. Those sort of decisions, in the past have cost the club dear. Let's hope that Morrison goes onto the same success as another Devonian centre half with the same first name
