IMO JFL has been our best CB so far. I don't understand how anyone can really slag him off at the moment bar the mistake he made at the weekend. These things happen though.

It's not about slagging off the defenders individually, it's about the unit. DW obviously thinks that, as a central defensive partnership, Scotty and LJF aren't up to it.
Maybe they will build up an understanding in time, but how long do we give them? If we're serious about another promotion push, the defence needs to be stronger collectively than it's showed so far.

I mostly agree with this, thing is you can give 2 center backs who know the rest of the squad time, or you can bring in 2 completely new faces and give them time? Or 1, what ever, a new face. |

Exactly. A new CB isn't going to stop Rose from playing crap and causing a weakness on the left which the CB's have to cover and pulls the whole defence out of whack. Having O'Brien on the left doesn't help either.
New players aren't the only solution, I don't even think they're the best solution. A change of formation to have one or two holding midfielders would help to strengthen the defence, such as a 4-2-3-1 with Douglas and Prutton could do the trick.
I kinda agree with this but maybe a more experienced pro would keep rose in check a little bit more than the current ones can but on the flipside someone with the amount of games under his belt like rose really should have more discipline than he has shown so far. |

If Greer were here he'd be playing, not JFL.
JFL has been great, showed some real class, but our back four will face some nasty bruisers this season and we will need a CB with experience and steel (much like Greer) to get us out of this division.
