Really sad news.  If my memory is correct, when we played Exeter on sky in April it was the game after he was diagnosed.  I remember a massive get well Stanno banner in the away section.

Condolences to the wife and family :-(

RIP Stanno!

RIP Adam.

I remember the game at Exeter last season and the loud cheer that he got from the crowd.

It seems that he was a popular player at all of his clubs.

Shocking and sad.....remember Stelling on Sky would say Lisa(Stansfield) will be happy after Adam scored....three kids under the age of eight as well.

RIP.

Awful. Just not right at all.

I guess Jeff will do a little tribute on Saturday.
The 'Lisa Stanfield' line among many other running gags are why I love that show.

Very sad. Saw him play against Chippenham during his Elmore days and many times during his professional career.

After finally making it to the 3rd tier of English football he looked very comfortable. Tisdale got the best out of him.

Although he was without doubt useful, I always got the feeling he had to really work hard to get to the level he reached.

He was a genuine fans favourite at Exeter, it's a great shame for them.

Then you think of his young family, that's the real tragedy.

Absolutely awful.  It must have been fairly advanced when he was diagnosed, because bowel cancer usually has good survival rates if found early enough.  Unusual to strike someone so young as well, which makes it all the worse.

RIP and thoughts are with his family.
