I remember him waving at a Mitchell diving header - one of the best goals ever at the CG.

I remember Shaun Taylor smacking one through his legs when he was Watfords goalie, he kinda stopped it then it squirmed into the net, was that the one?
Yep, that's the one. Am sure he went to Liverpool shortly after as well!

I was at the 2-1 loss to Watford (with James in goal for them) during the tailend of the 90/91 season.
That was an early Glenn Hoddle game wasn't it? Maybe even the first at the CG or him at the ground waving, can't remember.
When we lost to Watford at home that day, I genuinely thought we were relegated. Watford were fs and James still had the piss taken out of him back then.

FA Cup third round, cracking move, wonderful goal. One of my favourites.

Well I (as some others have alluded to) still think of him as Calamity James. That, combined with the fact that they must be paying him barrow loads of money, would lead me to question how good a signing it is.
I'm pretty 'meh!' about it. And that's not just because it's the Slave Traders.
We shall see just how good a signing it was as the season unfolds.

We've got to stop this agreeing mallarkey - its not the natural order of things. Now to get us back on track Murray is a Jock cunt.

You're right. It was a shit goal. Andy Murray is ace. I actually prefer Scottish people to English people.

If I remember rightly, in that game, we had several well placed freekicks, which we tried some elaborate Glenny training ground routine, all of which led to comedy. Watford got one late and I think Nigel Callaghan just lashed it in. Jason Drysdale may have been playing for the Hornets.

Also think Tommy Mooney was playing for them.

Probably a bit early for Mooney....David Byrne was kicking around, as he scored in the draw at Vicarage Road.

I don't think he's on much. Lives down here in Devon, Chudleigh to be exact, and has said he wants to finish his career playing for either Exeter or Plymouth. This bridges the gap until he's ready to make that step down.

£15k a week allegedly. Not too much of a bank breaker unfortunately.

I dunno, I'd imagine that would still make him their highest paid player by some margin
