Might be able to help you chaps with this. Up until the end of last year I had been a 20-40 per day man on and off for 20 years. I'd tried absolutely everything to stop; willpower, patches, gum, inhalors, polos, reducing my consumption, smoking 10 at a time to make myself ill and detest them, the lot ! I then found a really simple and easy way. Its a book called Easyway by Allen Carr. I managed just to go cold turkey Mon - Fri and carry on at the weekend. Although a lot of people that have done the same say they quickly have a re-lapse.

I gave up for three years, then on holiday in Turkey last year ran out of nicotine gum - started again.
Still smoking now, and still on the gum :?
I blame it on being a pisces - addictive personalities apparently.
