I'm not convinced by this at all, sounds very vague, with no substance behind it. Hoping to be proved wrong, but it all sounds a bit Theo to me.

No substance? They quoted Wilson directly: “We're still in talks with Celtic, have put our bid to them and will have to wait and see what they think,” he told the Advertiser.
“It's very slow at the moment, but I'm confident that they will become Swindon players.

what Sutton said.
Although, there are at least direct quotes from Wilson. Along the same lines as what he said about Prutton and Rose and they both signed - eventually! in Pruttons case.
I'd like to think we learnt from the Theo Robinson saga, so I'd hope this story wouldnt come out unless there was some serious truth in it.

Media wise, the club have done everything by the book. They can't do anything about what the press decide to write when it's been so quiet.
Obviously, Neil Lennon was within his right to take them to the USA, had we not been in Austria I imagine we'd have signed them by now.

No substance? They quoted Wilson directly:
Other words quoted are "hopefully", "What I've heard" etc, that's what's concerning me.

ha ha, people aren't convinced by this but are certain we're re-signing Tope... the truth is, until anyone puts pen to paper, it's all bollocks.
In saying that, this does sound promising, and both signings would make me cream my pants.

Would signing ferry give us a 5 man midfield? we couldn't afford to have a player with Ferry's quality sat on the bench each week but would also be unfair to leave out JPM.
Austin up front on his own or 3 at the back?
We need a CB now though

If the signings do all go ahead it will give us options, something we were severely lacking last season and for which we ultimately paid the price. We'll have the players next season for different formations and different tactics, though it does mean we'll likely have some decent players sat on the bench some weeks - this is a good thing though.

I fucking love the fact that we have the ability to pay fees for players. These signings would be a significant addition to the squad and i think i agree with Juddie it would make me cream my pants. Perhaps our formation would be (based on ferry/caddis signing) Lucas Caddis, Cuthbert, Sean, Rose JPM, Captain Dougie, Prutts, Ferry, Ball Austin A type of 4-5-1 when defending but moving into a 4-3-3 on the break? Bench: Smith, Manks, Pericard, Timlin, Lecs, AOB, A N Other

Out of interest, why do people think Caddis is good? We know Ferry is a decent lad, but I've never heard of Caddis or seen him play.
