think he was good against Leyton Orient last season,

Positionally he was all over the shop. Great tackle to deny a certain goal though.

Ant that's my point. The lad can and will do it and has to step up and learn sometime. But we were all hoping for another promotion charge this year. And that doesn't happen by replacing better/more experienced players with developing ones.

Meh. Perhaps I was expecting too much from next season.

Personally I think Morrison is a bit overrated and it's just his height that masks some glaring shortfalls. If we do start the season with Morrison, JFL and Cuthbert then we'll have gone backwards on last season.
I'm now suddenly a bit concerned if I'm honest as at the moment we are weaker up front, on the wings and now at the back than last season which isn't a great position to be in.

Selling to a devisional rival is usually a big no no which makes this all a bit puzzling, we aren't in need of money or something are we?

I agree with all of that about Morrison.

In terms of ability Id compare him to Matt Heywood. When he was on top of his game he was a decent player. But I dont think Morrison will ever play regular football above league 1.

Some of his mistakes last season were terrible, and he didnt seem to take it particularly well, blaming others when they were 100% his fault.

He's a player who needs to stick to the simple aspects of defending, he got caught in posession too often last season.

To be honest, I can see him being released in a years time, but I hope he proves me wrong and shows form good enough to keep Lescinel on the bench.

The only thing Id disagree with is the money for Greer. I think its a good offer, but time will tell. His injury record was very bad at Doncaster and it could be we have been lucky.

Personally I'd hope a new centre back comes in and both are kept on the bench

Weve only got 2 strikers, in my opinion we need 4. 1 of which needs to be of a good standard. Thats the priority.

We now need another centre back, but he can be a free, a squad player we can afford to take a punt on.

I agree we need 2 strikers I still just really hope we aren't relying on Morrison, Kennedy and Thompson coming too the fore though and hope they aren't forming too bigger part of our plans. They should just be bonus players and personally Morrison aside I don't think Thompson or Kennedy are likely to ever make it from what I've seen.
We need a few players for this Austria tour now though as suddenly without last season loanees and the loss of Greer, Paynter, Easton et al we are looking a bit bare squad wise.

I think Morrison is a decent player, however I think he is at the age where he needs regular games.

Coming in for the odd game here and there isn't good for him. Last season (Walsall and MK) showed that.

However, at his age and with the amount of games under his belt. He won't be a leader, he won't be a talker. He won't be a Captian.

With Greer being a CUNT we don't just need a CB we need a specific type of CB. We need a very much like for like replacement.

It will be tough. Cuthbert is a cracking player but I don't think he has the experience to lead our defence.

Fuck it, we'll probably sell Morrison to Franchise or something

Im interested to see how vocal Rose will be on the pitch.

He looks another leader to me. A big character. Between him and Lucas maybe they can keep Cuthbert/Lescinel/Amankwaah in shape?

It's hard to lead a line from the wing though. If he's vocal it will obviously have advantages though.

See i disagree about about Morrison i think he is better in the air than Greer and a quicker player.Greer is alot better position wise than him and has alot more experience

The only thing holding him back is game time

I wouldnt even discount Manks coming to the fore and showing a bit of leadership. He's been knocking around for a while a we all know he knows what he's doing. I think, at this moment in time, there is a big opportunity for one of the current first team defenders to stand up and be counted. Greer left some BIG empty shoes...go fill 'em.

Which is why I mentioned earlier about him doing well on loan at Southend. We've not really seen him play since then (one appearence against Orient I think) so he may have come on in leaps and bounds for all we know.
