Not sure I'll bother either. Car insurance is due next month and it seems to be getting more expensive by the week.

Pre-season friendlies are bollocks.

Having said that I'll probably go to a few, more to catch up with mates than to watch the games, which are usually as dull as fuck.

The main reason that i will go to a game.

This will be the only the only game I go to. The Town End being open has clinched it. plus one of my favourite games was our last home game against them where we won 2-1.

Was that the one where Julian Bennett got booked without even getting onto the pitch?

Edit: Yes it was, also where Moses Ashikodi got subbed on and then booked before he'd touched the ball. Fond memories of that also.

Two own goals in front of the TE and also can't remember who it was but we missed a sitter, with the ball sticking in the mud after beating the keeper

Blair Sturrock missed the sitter when his shot got stuck in the mud, was this also Malpas' first game in charge?

If this is the case then it was probably the only highlight during his reign.

I've only just realised its a Saturday game and its right after pay day. I probably will go after all.

Someone else can sit next to Tails this time, I'm not going up A&E with him again

I like going to the smaller grounds in pre-season.
  1. You can get close enough to the pitch to hear the players properly. Which can be amusing
  2. You can cast you eye over the trialists the declare them crap.
  3. Its generally cheap to get in.
  4. Usually the non-league team want to beat you so it can be semi-competative.

The Forest game will have no big name players and will be non competative tappy tappy tedium. But I may go along with a Forest fan anyway Smiley

I thought that was a different game (possibly Huddersfield ?) after Paynter got sent off and when we were clinging to a lead ?

Peacock also got sent off (first) that game. We were 3-2 up. 2 from Craig Easton I believe.

Moses was subbed off again for Roberts to waste time.

You don't have to struggle to remember what happened in last Forest game. I posted the link to the match report.
