GON isn't SONN.  He said in one of his earlier posts that he was born in 1942 (?) so he's in his late 60s and I, for one, thought his comments about swearing were genuine.  Probably doesn't understand the TEF in-house running gag about use of the word 'cunt'.

It's good to have a few older posters around to keep Reg company, so I hope we've not scared GON off.

Because I can.

I find it an expressive form of communication and one which goes hand in hand with the TEF. If you met me you'd likely find me surprisingly articulate and polite, but I am also a person who finds it silly too be insulted by words alone.

Of course if I am in public then I remember my manners but as far as I am concerned for me the TEF is not "that public", rather it is more of a local drinking whole where I meet with like minded people. Before you tell me that the TEF is a public forum, which I am well aware of, allow me to ask you this:

Would you go to a pub and complain about the music/theme, or would you just find another pub that suits you better?

You should not be so quick to judge.

If any of you met me in real life Im actually a 12 year old girl, the swearing on here is a good escape for me and stops me self harming and takes my mind off the fact that i have to nosh off all my fathers friends after the pub shuts 3 or 4 times a week. No Gerald's spelling is far worse and he always put three spaces after punctuation whereas this one seems to think you shouldn't have any, which is equally irritating but the exact opposite. He's kind of the anti-Gerald.
