JP proves a point to Wilson
JON-PAUL McGovern admits he has had to change manager Danny Wilson’s opinion of him in order to hold down a regular place in Swindon’s starting line-up.

Impressive stat, McGovern started more games than any other player last season. 55 games!
55! Doubt we've got that many games out of a player for years?
Wages well earned!

Just had a look through.
Last players to start that many games were Mark Robinson (started 57 games in 1995-96) and The Chief started 55 games that same season.

Which of course was a promotion season, which tells you something...not sure what exactly

It's great that our players aren't content to just pick up their wages anymore. That's what a proper manager (in Wilson) has managed to do.
McNamee was an example of a player Wilson wanted to prove himself but he bottled it.

Yep, all the way to The Championship... where he will struggle.
