I've sat and read many posts regarding the atmosphere that was at wembley and one of my points has already been mentioned but think it needs pointing out again.

The main reason why the singing never got going was the "acoustics" in the new wembley are completely different to the old one and very difficult to even hear what people are singing 300 years away let alone the other end of the stadium.

As someone said earlier in another thread the two main songs we heard from millwall was the "we are millwall super millwall" chant which every single fan knows across the country let alone all Millwall fans so that was an easy one to latch onto and also the single note that was sung by them all.
I just never seemed to be able to hear half of what was going on our end even when people behind the goal started, and sometimes could not even tell if it was sound coming from our end or theirs.

True there were a lot of people not standing or singing too much and yes there were some people who don't go very often but that was the same the last 2 times at wembley and it was not a problem then....why?

Well we had never been behind before and more importantly like me i was watching the game with absolute nerves, i could not take my eyes off the game as my view was at such an odd angle i was having to watch the screen most of the time.

We have to remember that not everyone sings and they need encouraging in the right way and i saw plenty of families frightened by groups who could not handle their drink they were literally shouting at them to "fucking sing".

I also though saw a few stuck up fans in our end who clearly had no idea what to do and heard the stories of people telling people to sit down or stop singing.

Football has changed i think but the main reason why the "plastics" were not singing is because they were trying to watch a game of football.

The build up was fantastic but the magic of wembley has disappeared with the twin towers for me.
The only thing i rushed to find was the Bobby Moore statue so i could get a photo of my father in front of it. I made my father go this year even though he struggled to afford it and he was one of many not singing too much as he has watched the town for over 40 years as a season ticket holder and that's the most I've seen him nervous as i think he knew yesterday was a step too far for us but he wanted to just enjoy the experience of seeing his club at yesterday, win or lose.

I guess my point is people are different when watching football.

Christ i talk some shit Smiley

I know I will get hammered for this because a lot of the idiots I'm talking about probably, and I say probably post on here, but I've got to say it.

I sat in block 549 along with a lot of families and loyal supporters, I try to be as vocal as possible supporting my team, I do try to keep my language down even though at times the odd fuck-it will come out, and those around including families will accept it.

What I cant accept nor will the majority of fans is some fat fucking drunken shit head standing up looking straight at me and pleading with me and others around to get up and sing. Do you think I'm not a passionate fan moran, I've been supporting this side for over 40 years all over the country and had so much anguish at the expense of the team I love.

But you and your three fucking mates are a total disgrace, you stopped fans watching the last few minutes unless they stood up, you didn't have a clue what was going on the pitch you drunken yob, you stank of booze, were very unpleasant and your language was way over the top.

People left early (not myself) because of your aggressive attitude. You have probably come away thinking what a great day out, I'm so fucking drunk, I'm a proper supporter I am. No, you and your mates are total dicks, I hope you stayed late in the evening and got a fucking good hiding.

Rant over.

If I'd known it was you Dell, and have come and said hello....

Nah...they would let me in with my frame, as the gas propelled rocket launchers, apparently contravened ground regulations.

Whilst this clearly wasnt me, as I am slim and sober.

I did something similiar to the people behind me in block 135.

If you are 1-0 down in a play off final and have a corner, right in front of you and you still dont want to get up on your feet and cheer on the lads and try to suck the ball into the net - then you can fuck off. You're in the wrong place.

If you want to come along, you join us, you join in - dont sit their watching it like you'd watch the fa cup final on the tv.

fucking wrong.

I am a very quiet person in general life as I go about my business and I am the same at football matches as well, and I am just not the type of person that enjoys shouting at the top of their voice, it's just the way I am, does this make me less of a supporter for being what I am? There was another hot head near us calling everyone a bunch of cunts for not shouting like him, and the same 'amazing' supporter then missed 30 minutes of the second half as he was getting pissed inside the concourse and then he could barely stand up as he came out as he was so fucked. I have been supporting the club I love all my life and it's a massive part of my life and I've had a season ticket for the last 21 years in a row, and if some fans think they can call me a 'day tripper' or call me less of a fan because I like to quietly watch the matches they can go fuck um selfs.

Dave.....just because people dont do as YOU do dosn't mean they are not passionate, people pay there hard earned and can do as they please.....sometimes its down to the  players to inject some energy into the crowd..i am a passionate fan but even i felt flat yesterday at the match...who are you top tell people to fuck off.....i applaud every Town fan there yesterday whether they chanted or not.....alot of those 32000 wasnt Swindon fans but went because the Town they lived in were in the final.....i thaught the Town fans were a credit yesterday...we have shown this season we can match anyone with our level of vocal support, yesterday wasnt the usual but who cares..........its history now.

fuck off leefer, im not having that at all.

If you cant get yourself motived for a corner infront of you, 10 minutes to go in a play off final - our biggest game in 17 years - you are in the wrongly place.

Our 'fans' were anything but a credit.

Come on, the true definition of a supporter is to support, and the only way to really do that is vocally.

So unfortunately, yes, if you sit on your arse with your mouth closed, then yes, it does make you less of a supporter!

I forgot why I don't use these forums any more, but now I remember it's because of small minded bigots like you, maybe one day you will look back and realise what a fucking idiot you really were even trying to run down die hard supporters of your own cub, you should feel ashamed but like the other bigots on here you just can't see it, I really hope one day you will grow up and learn to be more tolerant of others.

With Dave on this. What the heck is the mentality of people who wear the colours and can't identify the importance of their vocal support being a vital expression of that allegiance. Passive support on a day like that (unless you're born mute) is totally unacceptable. Maybe I was embarrased of singing and making myself heard when I attended church as a lad, but thesed days I couldn't give a fuck, tuneless or otherwise. What's the point of turning up. Very disillusioning.

Hmm, I dont go round calling other fans 'small minded bigots' just because they dont agree with me.

Im not being intollerant, Im just defining what I would expect from a hardcore supporter. Support!
