I was in the Club Wembley seats just outside the penalty area and I can't remember hearing any singing.

If you go back to the 80s when you was in the town end it was a fantastic atmosphere and i know you had the southsiders up by the corner of the away fans but the town end seem to lift the players and you could almost feel you could suck that ball into the net, these days it's dire because everyone is dotted about everywhere and you cant go and sit where you want.

I just think and end that was in full voice would inspire the players and give them a lift.

Block 134. I can barely speak. Atmosphere in the concourse round us was immense. Our group of 5 was just walking along singing loud and proud. Then we ended up just stood with 5 strangers, singing even more songs. Fucking brilliant.

Out in block 134 though, we were being told to sit down, the entire block was stood up so those few behind us just moved. There were pockets of people singing and more to the front too. But everyone to my left were sat in silence. It got to the last 15 minutes and I ended up walking down the steps screaming at them "this is the last 15 minutes and you're sat on your arses, get up and fucking support the team" I was told to fuck off, I got dirty looks from everyone and some buck toothed munter started laughing at me. They then spent the rest of the game looking at me everytime I started songs.

Fuck you plastics. I was willing to give you a chance. But fuck you.

And again, I want to hear the whole ground singing, not just a section of it. If you create a fans' ghetto like that you very quickly get to a situation where you're not allowed to sing in the rest of the ground and we end up with the kind of "family atmosphere" we had yesterday - none whatever. Dreadful idea

Nah you didn't call anyone anything of the sort. What you said, is what was being thought by alot of people including myself! Yes we were losing and yes it was horrible, but wheres the swindon town spirit! You tryed starting a few chants and me and my Fam joined in! It was frustrating. Our team got us to Wembley. We were outplayed by a team that were better than us, But thats football. We just were not good enough.

yeah that was probably me,as my voice went eventually.can you confirm i wasn't calling people cunts and abusing folk

benny my man, I hear you.

Same story with us in block 135. We were in the second last row and the cunt behind me even tried to get me to sit down. The back fucking row!!

Atmosphere in the 2hours between us arriving at wembley central, and wembley stadium, was electric. It went downhill from there.

Plastic stadium, plastic fans. I'd be happier holding it in villa park or somewhere and have a rammed full stadium with the people who wanted to get behind their team in the majority. The wembley experience was fucking toilet for me.

thanks.
a few did try to sing and a couple of times it worked pretty well.but i was shouting red army on my own and getting about 5-8 people shouting it back most of the time.
it wasn't as if people couldn't hear me as i am a loud git when i want to be.
i made comments like "get behind them" "make the most of it as we dont come her often" etc.and i could see how frustrated those who wanted to sing were as they looked at me in agreement.

That's the block I was having a go at. Obviously not directed at you! I was about 4 from the back a few seats in from the steps. Useless bunch of fucking cunts. Ruined my day. Aside from the shit performance on the pitch. It completely fucked my day.

So what would you suggest to get more atmosphere in a ground IE either Wembley or the CG,lets be honest here when people do sing it lasts about five to ten mins at most.I hate harking back to the 80s but when we sung then it could go on for a good 30 mins or more at times.

Maybe it's just the different generation of supporters these days.

I guess im just ranting because im pissed off and finding it hard stomach yesterdays defeat.

I think there's a thing to be said for the acoustics at Wembley too tho, because being in the lower tier I could here us singing in our pockets, but couldn't hear you lot in the gods (not saying you weren't) the same as I couldn't barely hear songs from people behind the goal.

I know our support was poor today but just couldn't hear for more than 20 yards or so around me. Is Wembley TOO big for such an occasion?

Just posted about this in the other thread. Poor acoustics in that place. Who knows maybe it was just our support though?
