Just seen the price of Kraken, for that price you can get a better quality rum if you do your research.

Kraken is full off sugar

I brought back a bottle of Admiral Rodney from St Lucia sometime ago. That was cracking stuff and didn't last long.

Scammy cunt Chris Kirchner has been sentenced to 20 years for fraud. Was Derby's dodgy administrator's first choice for buying the club, also came 'close' to buying Preston shortly beforehand. Any 'The Price of Football' listeners will know how lowly they think of Kirchner, and rightly so.

Aaaah the annual car insurance shuffle. Always amuses me

No direct line I don't want a 25% increase from £300->400

I'll take Churchill, and save £85 even by adding guaranteed car hire on to make the policy almost equivalent.

Churchill.. Owned by direct line..

DL tried it on with my Mrs. Until I intervened. She was adamant that they were the cheapest (without doing any checking of course), i on the other hand begged to differ. Just under £200 difference.

That's quite some saving LL.

Unless you have an accident I guess it doesn't matter who you go with, direct line were excellent when I did. But we aren't taking £20 difference here.

It also depends on what excess you agree on. I’ve been with Hastings for quite a few years only because I get RAC cover including home start which when combined under cuts all the other quotes from competitors.

Currently with the AA insurance, renewal just came through with a 44% increase to £375.  Certainly looking elswhere although SAGA, supposedly being for old farts like me, quoted £650!

A bit. But bearing in mind I saved £80 with a 0 voluntary and 100 compulsory excess!

The extras can be quite different though. After crash care, hire car, etc

That’s a really good excess to be fair I think mine is £150 with no 0 voluntary.

Home insurance is a right con as had to make a claim a year ago and they put it up £350 on renewal but when you look elsewhere you have to start from scratch so 20 years without claiming means nothing so hard to get anything much cheaper.

What else is comparable out of interest? Always up for trying new spiced rums.
