Wiltshire’s Tommy Bridewell winning the British Superbike championship yesterday.

He lost his brother Ollie to an accident at Mallory Park years ago and has always said he wanted to win the championship to honour his memory

By just half a point too. Pleased for Tommy, and the team, but I was actually hoping for Irwin to win it.

It could still turn up, my other half had the dreaded Evri 'routed to other depot' message the other week and after waiting ages the seller agreed to just send the item again. In the end both the original and later order both turned up, the seller just said keep it as they had got cash back from Evri anyway!

I'm still hoping it will turn up.

The seller has been contacting Evri everyday, sometimes more than once (you can see it on eBay) so I'm now even more convinced it's genuine, so if it's missing I'll be gutted.

Evri emailed me yesterday to say it's been located and I should receive it within 72 hours, so fingers crossed.

At the grand old age of 62 I found myself driving up to Bradford yesterday for a second interview, after last weeks teams meeting. Then driving back straight after. I bloody missed the first half of footy last night. To be rung at 10.00 this morning by a rather excited lady from the agency who put me forward to be told they loved my presentation etc, etc, etc and were offering me verbally the position. FUCKING BOOM! Still got it. Just waiting for the official blurb, start 6th Nov, with two weeks induction, training and field days with other team members in the frozen north. 😁

Winning twenty quid off a 50p bet.

50p is my stake these days, and I love when a 40-100/1 acca comes in! The small things huh!

What are you going to spend your winnings on?

I'm gonna keep my feet on the ground and not let it change me, I suspect I will get stung for a chippy tea whilst we are on holiday!

In an otherwise fairly grim news lineup, I did enjoy this story. There's one hell of a TV series to be made on old Silvio.
