Might be people on trains on timed tickets? Theres a 17.11 back to Paddington that is tight even if the game finishes when it should. Ours always seem to finish late.

Could be I suppose, but there is a 17:22 and an 18:11 - why would you go dor the 17:11!

Seems really to have increased over the last couple of seasons as well. NOt just one or two people, 10's and 10's. This isn't Old Trafford FFS, there isn't an hour wait for a tram.

When cunts who leave games early miss the winning goal because they decided to be cunts

Haha my husband left early today! Only cause he wanted to get back before our little boy goes to bed!

Could not agree more , I said to my lad are people really leaving  I looked at the clock and it was 86 minutes and we were attacking in waves very odd.Like so many have said before you would not go to the theatre and leave 5 minutes from the end I just don't get what is so important in that 5 minutes.

The DRS use to be painfully slow to exit when I went, even when it was half full. Maybe people don't want to hang about when it's bitterly cold and they are confident there will be no more goals?

I definitely think the joy escaping the cold 5 minutes early far outweighs the joy of a last minute winner. Especially leaving at 3-3, and when we are all over them.

Exactly.

If you're not gonna make the train, get a different train.
If you're worried about being too cold, put an extra jacket on (or stop being such a wimp).
And if alcohol or burgers are more important to you than football then why not just stay in the pub. Or Burger King, it's only down the road.

People, pfft.

There were a few in the Arkells who went then and never returned

There were people leaving yesterday around us at 84 minutes.  I don't understand it to be honest.  I remember when we won League 2 under Di Canio and there were people leaving before the end of the Port Vale game.  I know we were winning 5-0, but it made me wonder why they bothered supporting the team if they weren't going to stay and watch them be crowned Champions.

That's the thing, there are always a few decent excuses. But some people leave early as a matter of routine. And there's loads of them. And I hop around the ground - Arkells, DR, Town End, same everywhere.
