I agree. To send him off was ludicrous.

How was it? I don't think it was such a massive crime as some are making it out, but however much of a tool the ball boy was being, Hazard still petulantly kicked out at someone on the ground. Red card the right punishment.

If you consider a toe-poke of a football "kicking out" then god help you if and when someone proper lamps you

If that had been another player lying on the ball, I think it'd have been a yellow at most. The fact it was a 'civilian' is what caused the red. No need for any other action.

Apparently the lad went in to see Hazzard after the game with his dad and they all made up with no further actions on their behalf. Think the whole episode is embarrassing for both Hazzard and the ball boy and imagine its something either are proud of.

You have to feel a little sorry for Swansea.  One of the greatest nights in their history.  They're through to their first ever major final, and up against opposition that, on paper at least, they should beat.  And all that anyone is really talking about is a sending off for the opposition and a fucking ball boy.

Sorry Danny Dyer, I'll choose my words more carefully in future.

Regardless of the degree of the offence, I don't see how watching it anyone can think it's not a sending off.

In a week of lousy press coverage, something classy from the Telegraph to redress the balance.

Can League Cup heroes Bradford City follow in the footsteps of European legends Swindon Town?
