Makes me smile:  The size of the Afghanistan opener

Feel good: The fact that Afghanistan are competing in the world twenty20.

Got given a cd of various Half Man Half Biscuit stuff (some of the more recent songs) its the first time i've listened to them for years, couldn't stop smiling.  Reminded me that seeing them at Reading in 19?? just after they'd reformed is my best ever gig.

I went to Oxford today (sorry) and went to Atomic Burger.

My word. I suggest you all go to an Atomic Burger.

My daughter used to live in the flat above it.
Its a real student-type area so never seen any yellow around there.

In typical Samdy style I went tinkering with my bike and ended up with the rear hub bearings emptying themselves all over my patio.

Lacking the correct tools, last night I made a bodged attempt to fix it that ended in complete failure with my wheel wobblier than a wobbly thing and would only spin half a revolution before seizing. I gave up and shoved it all back in the shed resigning myself to the fact I'd have to take it to a bike shop with my tail between my legs and admit I'd been a bit of a dick and fiddled with something when I didn't really know what I was doing.

However, having administered a strong dose of MTFU overnight, I managed to successfully fit it all back together and in the process also fixed the problem I'd been trying to resolve when I started tinkering in the first place.

Sounds like an after match statement from Paolo.

I have a terrible habit of taking things apart that aren't really broken, in the process breaking them some more, wallow in self pity for a bit before manning up and putting it right again. It gives me an enormous sense of well being. Which is probably why I end up doing it again and again and again, much to the wife's despair and my mother before that.

The family cat, which had been absent for more almost 48 hours, rolling in unharmed and purring like a cheerful idiot saying: "I had a good time out there doing my thing, what about you losers stuck with responsibilities?"

Yes, thanks.  Smiley

Started looking to move over the summer, had a 2nd interview last Friday and the offer yesterday - Studio Manager at a publishing company in London Bridge/Borough Market.

Nice feeling being my choice to move on, and not because of redundancy like in 2008.
