Weird one, but dry stone walls never cease to amaze me. What skill is involved.


I used to run a heritage skills training programme where one of the things we offered was dry stone walling training, had a day doing it once, very calming and therapeutic, albeit skilful and time consuming...

We have quite a few in our garden. One of them collapsed last year during one of the multitude of heavy rain days we had.

Hark at you with your country estate....

When I was a kid I'm sure the ladybirds were mainly red with little black spots. We seem to have quite a few that roam about the house but they appear to be almost completely black with maybe 2 or 4 larger red spots.
