Contacting Amazon today because the screen had given up on my daughters Kindle after just 3 months - great customer service, their first words were "we will send you out a new one straight away".

My girlfriend's was going weird after 7 months or so and they agreed to do the same. Then she accidentally sat on it immediately after getting off the phone! She called straight back and they just said, "no worries, we'll still replace it for free". Amazon are great.
